The Power of Integrated Dental Expertise

We are the only dental office in the Triangle offering both a prosthodontist and a periodontist — all under one roof.

Why do we take this approach?

Our patients receive the highest level quality, expertise, and specialized care available at one location, making it easier, cheaper, and more comfortable for their unique needs.

The Benefits of Combined Care

Prosthodontic & Periodontal Care at One Office

Q: What is a Periodontist?

A periodontist is a dental specialist who focuses on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of gum disease, gum surgery, and bone regeneration.

An easy way to think about your full mouth dental care is that a prosthodontist takes care of everything above the gum line and a periodontist takes care of everything below it!

Q: Why is In-House Integration Essential?

For most complex dental cases, patients receive prosthodontic care at one office and they have to travel (same day) to a periodontist’s office for the next part of their care.

This experience is commonly delayed, coordination can be tricky, and for many, the travel between offices can be painful.

Coordinated planning and convenience within one visit equals better care.

Our Advantage: Coordinated Care, Flawless Results

Simplified Treatment Planning: Our two specialists consult face-to-face, eliminating miscommunication and delays.

Enhanced Quality Control: Because they work together, the prosthetic design is perfectly matched to the periodontal foundation, leading to a more natural, stable, and long-lasting result.

Fewer Appointments, Less Stress: Say goodbye to operation days spent traveling between two offices. The convenience factor — your care starts and ends in one building, stress-free.

Less Cost: No need to pay two specialty consult fees and ongoing separate office charges!

Dental Discomfort is not an issue

Worry Free Dental Work at our Raleigh office

It’s normal to experience dental anxiety when it comes to undergoing end-to-end periodontal and prosthodontic treatments. Luckily, our team is pleased to put your fears to rest with our calming sedation options!

We offer two types of dental sedation: oral conscious sedation and intravenous (IV) sedation.

Raleigh's Best Cosmetic Dentist Office Hallway

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is administered in the form of a pill that’s taken about an hour before your appointment. A friend or relative will have to drive you to our office, as it will start to take effect before you arrive.

During the procedure, you’ll be aware of what’s happening and able to respond to your dentist, but feel calm and relaxed. You’ll need a ride home after your appointment.

Unmatched Patient Care

Whether it’s a short or lengthy procedure, your comfort is our priority:

Comfortable chairs help you relax while dental work is underway.

Big screen TVs on the ceiling allow you to kick back and zone out.

A state-of-the-art surgical suite overlooking a nature area filled with herons, turtles, and local wildlife.

IV Sedation

IV sedation is administered through an intravenous line. It takes effect quickly and facilitates “twilight sleep,” where you may have some awareness of your surroundings, but it will be minimal.

Most IV sedation patients have little-to-no memory of the procedure. As with oral conscious sedation, you’ll need a loved one to drive you home after the appointment.

We’re happy to walk you through our sedation options during your consultation!

Common Full-Mouth Procedures

Periodontic and Prosthodontic Services at Our Raleigh Office

Our periodontist and prosthodontist frequently collaborate on cases involving dental implants, where the periodontist ensures healthy gum and bone support while the prosthodontist designs and places the final prosthetic tooth or bridge. Our combined expertise is also essential for complex full-mouth reconstructions that require both surgical gum and bone treatment and high-quality tooth replacement.

Gum Lift / Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening is a common periodontal procedure that involves reshaping the gum tissue and sometimes the underlying bone to expose more of the natural tooth structure.

This treatment is often performed to prepare a tooth for a crown or other restoration, or to correct a “gummy smile” for a more balanced and aesthetic appearance.

Dental Implants

After tooth loss, decay, or damage, there’s a lot you may miss, like chewing your favorite foods or smiling in pictures.

While missing teeth can be a stressful problem, they’re also a common one. Our dentist, Dr. Thiago Morelli, has a solution.

He places dental implants at our trusted Raleigh, NC , practice. Contact us to explore your candidacy.

Full Arch Implants

Full mouth dental implants are non-removable dentures that restore a full arch of missing teeth. Implant-supported dental restorations are the most comprehensive way to replace lost teeth.

Our periodontist, Dr. Morelli partners with our in-house prosthodontist, Dr. Hugh Murphy, to coordinate dental implant surgery and the placement of your restoration. Most patients go from complete tooth loss to a brand-new smile in just one day.
