Crowns and bridges are the best restorations for natural teeth that have been significantly damaged or lost due to decay, trauma, or infection. They are generally made out of ceramic, zirconia, porcelain and/or gold alloy, and the selection of material and preparation of the teeth makes all the difference when it comes to the aesthetics, function and prognosis for the patient.

The process involves carefully reshaping the tooth/teeth in such a way that preserves as much of the healthy tooth as possible, while allowing sufficient space for strength of the crown. Models of the teeth are then recorded and temporary crowns made that look just like the final restorations. By making temporary crowns that look like the final ones, Dr. Murphy can copy his own work in the final ceramics and achieve predictably exquisite results every time.
